EGD

EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy) is used in the diagnosis of disorders of the esophagus, stomach, and first portion of the small intestine. The doctor passes a thin, flexible tube containing a video camera through the patient's mouth to inspect the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum.
